I think everyone needs one person in their life - who is not a relative - who can give us that reassuring kick in the pants when we have self-doubt and put us on the path to confidence. I really love how this came straight from the heart. I am sure a lot of young professionals can really relate to this post. Feeling insecure at a job right out of school is very common. But that old man is correct. Feeling confident and secure does really go a long way; even beyond work life. We all need to be reminded of that from time-to-time.
